In the scene after Hoss tries to catch the leprechauns as they are making off with the strongbox of gold from the Ponderosa, he falls and hurts his head. Pa, Adam and Joe all come down to see what's going on and as Pa is checking out Hoss' injury, Joe starts poking at his head until Pa has to bat his hand away.
