an old newbie?

Hi all,

Thought I'd re-introduce myself since I sort of took a year's hiatus while my life underwent some big changes. I still have a lot of unknowns ahead, but one thing I do realize is that I missed everyone here, and it's really not necessary to have one's life all planned out and progressing well just to hang out with everyone, right?

For those who don't know me at all, my name is Therese, I currently live in Iowa, and am very newly separated, soon to be divorced. I'm also job hunting, so not exactly sure where I'll end up, though if I were a betting person, I'd think it's someplace warmer than the Midwest.

I spent the last three years running an equine rescue, which, sadly, was one of the casualties of my marriage ending. I do still have horses and mules of my own (and always will) as well as a large collection of dogs. I'm an avid trail rider, hiker, and camper, and travel as much as time and budget allow.

I hope that everyone can forgive me for going missing, I was just going through an awful lot all at once so pretty much turned away from the virtual world. It's hard to imagine that almost an entire year flew by so quickly.

I look forward to catching up with my 'old' pals here as well as meeting everyone who is new.
