Anti-Regina

After watching The Way of Aaron yesterday, I realized that Rebecca was the antithesis to Regina. Rebecca wanted her father to indulge in violence and for Adam, ("I'll tell you what he is, Papa, he's a man!" Can't argue with that!) if he were there, to resort to violence to get their money back. Regina was the absolute opposite--she told Adam that the violence would be between them always.
What is it with him? I know it's the writers, but Adam certainly had no specific taste in women--he was all over the map.
By the way, I saw an episode of Ironside yesterday and Kathie Browne, Laura Dayton, played the mother of a juvenile delinquent; she did not look good.
