In addition to his TV acting, Lou attained his theatrical degree from the American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York City, and made his stage debut in 1955 in "Red Roses for Me."
He was inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame in 1982 Frizzell's song "If You Got The Money (I've Got The Time) received a Grammy Award in 1999.
