Still with us today and kept his birth name for his acting career.
Mitch Vogel was one of Hollywood top young actors during the late 1960's and early 1970's.
His very first film at the age of 12 was in a popular comedy Yours, Mine and Ours (1968) as one of Lucille Ball's brood.
He played the role of Lucius in the film The Reivers(1969) ,The film won him and Steve McQueen Golden Globe nominations.
Mitch became a popular face on TV and in 1970 joined Ben, Hoss and Little Joe on Bonanza for two years as Jamie Hunter, later Cartwright.
He was casted because the producers felt that the programme needed a facelift and Michael Landon at the ripe old age of 34 was a bit long in the tooth to be given fatherly advice from Ben.
as he had developed a friendship with Michael Landon when the series ended, he appeared on The Little House on the Prairie(1974).
