I’m an old Bonanza fan from ages past….easily 50 years or more. I grew up with the show and clearly remember watching the series on NBC Sunday nights in the late 1960s and early 1970s. I grew up in San Francisco during those years and later moved to Lake Arrowhead down in So Cal. My house was a micro Ponderosa near the lake there and that’s where I met my wife.
I’ve retired to the great northwest and now live on an island in the Salish Sea in Washington State. I’m surrounded by old growth forest, ranch land, and am just a football’s toss from the Straight of Juan De Fuca with the Olympic Mountains just beyond. Paradise.
Anyway I hope there are a few old duffers or even some young whippersnappers I can reminisce with about one of the greatest television shows of all time. Happy to be aboard.
