Charles Watts was born in Tennessee in 1912. Before becoming an actor he had a brief stint as a high school teacher, and one of the subjects he taught was drama. He first appeared onscreen in a 1950 movie called I Was a Shoplifter, in which he played a police lieutenant. That same year he appeared three times on The Lone Ranger. Charles appeared quite a few times on Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Dennis the Menace. He is best known for his role in the movie Giant, which starred Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson. Charles passed away at the too-young age of 54.
