Another member from Germany

As far as I recognize I'm not the only member from Germany in this great forum.
Originally I came along here while searching for informations on the original sixguns used be the Cartwright family.
Being a history buff sometimes I'm a little bit amused about the anachronism of guns and gear in western movies but concerning Bonanza I'd like to "forgive" these little "sins" because it's just enternainment and enterntainment at it's best.
My wife an me, being born in the late 50s and early 60s, watched Bonanza on television here in Germany in the early 70s.
Years later, after the invention of the DVD an the WWW wie found out that some episodes were not broadcastet in Germany due to the fact the some scenes in these episodes seemed to be to brutal in the eyes of our TV program makers!
Furthermore some episodes if not the most were shortened to fill exactly in the 45-minute-program-time granted to Bonanza and other serials from foreign countries.
And now I'm going first to use this forum as a library to get some more informations on Bonanza and the Cartwright family and all the other characters and actors of the serial.
BTW, we are also a great fan of "Little House on the Prairie" also starring Michael Landon. Even this was shortened to a running time of 45 minutes sometimes.
