LOVE all the ways everyone got their nicknames. :D

My nick is a fairly easy one; my name is Frances.

I chose Frannie, one of my nicknames as a kid.

I came up with my username when I first joined BW. It is derived from, first of all, Ben, because he is my favorite Cartwright. I added Reader to the name because I started reading fan fiction before I actually joined the forum. So, it just seemed natural for BensReader to be my user name, since I always admired Lorne Greene as a very well read and educated man. A lot can be learned from him.

I've used this name for almost 20 years! I was planning a trip to Ireland and needed an email address for travel sites etc. Pooka is a trickster creature from Irish mythology that would often take the form of a black horse and after giving you a wild ride on the beach on a moonlit night took great pleasure in dumping you in the surf. ;-) The IRE are just the initials for the Ireland. Doesn't make much sense but it's been handy to keep the same name for all the fun stuff online.

Bonjour! I'm an expatriated American now Canadian citizen living outside of Québec City in a town where horses abound! In one neighborhood, there are about 200 horses, and people have stables instead of having swimming pools in back of their houses. We have a system of trails maintained in the summer and winter. My horse lives not far from my house. In my home, besides my husband, there are three cats and two dogs. I'd probably have more but the town bylaws don't allow more than that. Voila! It's Sarasanimals. : :adam
