Also since I pretty much use the same nickname on all non bonanza forums, I didn't want to get tracked back here.
This is my little secret.

That's quite funny Sassy. I never realised it was because it rhymed, because it doesn't spoken with my English accent!Sassybrass wrote:I'm new to forums (it's been a little over a year, BW was the first one I joined last June), but not new to the various corners of the internet. I knew I had to pick a username that felt right
After toying with a couple of Adam oriented nicknames, this one sprang into my mind.
Sassy...because...uh...yeah. Pretty self explanatory.
Brass.
Picked it mostly because it rhymed. Didn't think of all the implications. Freudian slip, perhaps.
I'm only participating online in Bonanza related stuff, so if you see that nickname anywhere else, such as facebook, etc, it's not me.

Same for me..took me a while to realise it was cos of my accent!Inca wrote:That's quite funny Sassy. With a name like Terina, I can relate. I get Tina, Theresa, a childhood friend called me Terquina and a high school friend (who is the defensive coordinator for the NY Giants--hey I know somebody famous) called me Purina. When I worked for a parts distributor, the parts guys called me the Ford Lady...ya know Ford Torino. I can't win.thereseiam wrote:What a fun thread!
My nick is pretty dull compared to a lot of the others, but it's pretty much the same thing I use anywhere I go on the internet, as as well as my yahoo email and chat name.
My name is Therese, but if I had a nickel for every person who calls me TheresA instead, I'd be rich. In fact, in my riding club, a lot of them call me "T w/no A" because I keep correcting people who call me by the wrong name. (Hey, it's my *name*, you can't blame me, can you?)
After years of dealing with being called by the wrong name, I picked the nickname thereseiam, sort of a take off on Dr. Suess' Sam I Am, but also as a reminder that my name is NOT Theresa. And for all of you Teresas and Theresas out there, hey, no offense, it's a great name, it's just not mine.![]()
