A gun is only a tool, like your jackknife; no better 'n no worse than the man who handles it. Any man can pull a trigger. It's not hard. But it takes a big man not to pull one. -- Adam Cartwright

I commented here a couple years ago I think. But The mud wrestling is hilarious. Aside from McClintok I don't know of too many mud fights in the movies/TV shows! Being wet with the mud shows off assests for sure for the brothers! :drool

Besides shirtless Adam, I really like this ep because it gives glimpses of what life with the young Cartwright sons was like! I think younger version of these same situations were the everyday fare of the household! They're fun to watch!

I love that last picture with Little Joe sandwiched in between his two larger brothers. The look on his face is priceless. Being soaking wet & covered with mud sure showed off some nice assests on a certain cowboy wearing black. :rotfl Ben thought his sons falling in the mud & then pulling Hoss in with them was funny until they started fighting. I can imagine his embarrassment at them fighting after he just finished telling Mr. Milbank how much the boys loved each other & what hard workers they were. Since the puppy was never seen in the show again, I would like to think that they gave it to the kids in the family that Adam helped. METV showed the episode yesterday & it's one of my favorites along with The Wooing of Abigail Jones & A Knight To Remember. Outside of the mud fight in McClintock! (my favorite John Wayne movie), this is the only one I can remember in all of the westerns I've watched over the years.

Always a fun episode to watch, the comedy is outstanding and it shows how the Cartwrights aren't just good to look at but good people too.

Gillie, forgive me but I just have to caption those great pics.

1. No Joseph, you cannot go on spring break with your friends. It's Springtime and there's work to be done.

2. Did somebody forget to check the pool filter again?

3. Joe- How come when we play Cartwright sandwich I always have to be the filling!
I love your captions Judith. They're very funny & fit the pictures very well.
