How funny! Actors can be silly creatures sometimes.

Not sure I agree with some of the choices, but it should be a boost to the western fans.

There's nothing current on the internet (that I can find) about this movie except this article. I kinda doubt it is going to be made.

The same sort of thing happened with the Big Valley movie; they even had a IMDB entry on that, but eventually it was revealed that the producer was sent to jail on fraud charges.

Edited to add: I looked up Lawrence Kasdan (who is according to the article supposed to direct the Gunsmoke movie, his IMDB entry is http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001410/ ) and he's no small potatoes. He's listed as the screenplay writer for the new Star Wars movie, wrote and directed "The Big Chill" and "Silverado", produced "Wyatt Earp", etc etc. So I don't want to imply it's a scam; I just think it fell through or was put on the back burner.

I just watched a season 9 episode titled, "Caleb."

This episode guest starred John Dehner - - IMO, this is one of the best TV western episodes ever. John Dehner is amazing in this role. His expressions alone brought me to tears more than once.

Does anyone else find it strange that Doc Adams' office/home are up a long, steep flight of stairs? I mean really. how many times do Matt and Doc say, "Some of you fellas get him up to Doc's office" and four half-drunk farmers carry the bullet-ridden man up those stairs?

It makes no sense that a doctor's office would be on the second floor, especially with outdoor access exclusively.

I've thought that myself; I wonder if they ever explained that in the show? It does seem odd.

Right? I mean, really, can you imagine trying to carry Matt Dillon's limp body up that staircase?
