I love that episode! Victor did a wonderful job and so did the young boy playing his son.

Johnny Crawford is the subject of a MeTV article:
See Johnny Crawford In His First Acting Role In 20 Years

It's an indie movie that also has Don Collier. Here's the promo for the movie (the youtube is in the article); you can see Johnny at about 2:15.
I don't think I've seen him in anything else as an adult, except for MeTV promos. Yet I think I would recognize him anywhere!

Unfortunately, the article mentions that he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's :sob

Johnny was also in an episode of The Big Valley.

Johnny Crawford does have Alzheimer's & is in a memory care facility as his wife can no longer care for him at home. Very sad. :sob

Oh, no! That's so sad. First David Canary [ who was still very young] and now Johnny. Both Johnny Crawford and Chuck Connors were at Michael's funeral. Jonny was also one of the originals in The Mickey Mouse Club. :sob

Johnny Crawford is featured in several You tube videos from A Word on Westerns, Rob Word interviews several actors on parts they played in Classic Westerns and what it was like to work with certain stars etc.

My family use to watch this show regularly. I really never watched it much on syndication until METV came along. such great episodes and they got everything done in less than 25 minutes! I believe they started this show on Zane Gray Theater. Johnny was a superb actor as was Chuck Conners.

Johnny played in one episode of Little House, I think The Hunters, where Charles was shot when his rifle fell and a blind man [ Burk Ives] had to get help led by Laura. Johnny played the man's son. Johnny had pretty much quit acting. :sad

As an adult, he played in a movie with Kenny Rogers. I believe it was the Gambler Returns.

Chuck Connors made a cameo as the Rifleman in one of Kenny Rogers’ Gambler movies too. That was exciting!
