Thanks but that link is for The Visitor. Seen and liked that episode. Lucas McCain getting kissed, pretty rare on The Rifleman. I think there's all of three kisses for Lucas in the entire series.

The one I'm trying to find is The Vision and from the caps I've seen it looks like a wonderful, heartwarming and heartwrenching episode with Mark sick with typhoid.

I do wish I could find one particular episode on hulu or youtube, but so far no luck. I believe it's called The Vision - it's mentioned earlier in this thread. It's where Mark gets typhoid fever and Lucas nurses him back to health. I've seen caps of the scenes but no luck finding the whole ep. Anyone seen it out there on the internet?
Liz, of all the eps I've seen, The Vision is my very favorite. If they're still broadcasting the show on ME TV, you can wait for the ep to come around again. :shrug You can find The Rifleman episode guide on the Internet and use it to pinpoint (or at least get close to) the network's next airing of it.

I was watching an episode of "Murphy Brown" and noticed the actress who played "The Vision" , Marian Seldes. She was quite a force of nature - as well she should be, since she played Murphy's aunt. She died just last October at age 86.

Thanks for the info. I don't do cable anymore, ditched it about a year ago, so I use mostly netflix, hulu and youtube for classic tv.

I remember The Rifleman. I was pretty young at the time, and I now suspect my mom had a crush on Lucas McCain, but I do remember the show. He really knew how to handle his rifle, and some pretty big problems were solved in thirty minutes - maybe less. :grin

I like "The Rifleman." My favorite episodes were always the ones dealing with Mark and Lucas. I've watched a couple of them on AMC. I have a DVR recorder so I record it and watch it later since I'm not really awake at four or five in the morning.

MeTV showed "The Mind Reader" episode recently where ML plays Billy Mathis, another hot-headed character, LOL. ML played those well.

I really like this show. I've seen a few episodes now and Chuck Connors is definitely star material. Love the father-son relationship. I like that it's only a half-hour long. They squeeze a lot into a shorter time period.

I never watched "The Rifleman" until about a year ago. MeTV has been running 2 episodes a day, and recently they started back with the first season. Johnny Crawford (Mark) was such a good little actor!

Yes, Johnny was a good actor. I suspect my mom had a crush on Chuck Connors, as we never missed The Rifleman. :grin
