What does your nick stand for?

I remember creating my nick very hastily for one platform, when I just got too curious about actor's background info. Reading all parts of the website needed a login, and i thought I'll never log in again, so I needed something quick. The first thing that came to my mind was how numerous threads had been posted that day, considering which Cartwright they'd marry and who'd be good wives for Cartwrights.

So here we stand.

Later on, I've come up with two good questions, though, where my nick would be a terrific answer!

1) What would you do to elevate the spirit of your life?

2) What would you do to fix the worst thing happened in the fiction world? :lol

My Nick is totally non-Bonanza. It's a screen name that I've used for years. The ny stands for where I'm from, New York. The spats is a nickname my family picked up years ago. It's a shortened version of our last name.

Mine comes from a British TV. series called Heartbeat, about a policeman and his doctor wife who move to Yorkshire from London. It was set in the 1960s' and featured lots of great music of the period. The TV company pulled the plug on it after 17 years, but I was lucky enough to see them filming about five years ago. When I joined Boomers, I needed a user name quickly, and as Heartbeat was my other favourite series, I thought it unlikely anyone else would have that name.

Henrietta "Hetty" King, from the Road to Avonlea. Old maid school marm, fiercely independent, stubborn, strong willed, opinionated, hysterically funny. Played by the wonderful Jackie Burroughs. Any Canadian fans here? Love, love, love the character and wanted to be her.

by Oh, Adam!
I noticed that every time I saw Adam either on TV or his picture my reaction was "Oh, Adam!" hence my name.

Many years ago, I worked in an archaeology lab doing vessel reconstruction. For several months, I did the challenging and sometimes tedious work of putting bottles and other glass vessels back together (imagine a jigsaw puzzle made of glass and you have to figure out which piece goes with which vessel and where). Since glass tends to develop a patina over time, and it flakes off when exposed to air, I was covered in the darned stuff by the end of the day. My co-workers started calling me Patina and now I use it as my on-line name.
