Guy Williams was Zorro before he was Will Cartwright.

Zorro on Cozi TV 1/5/2015

Post by Adamant » Thu Jan 01, 2015 2:36 pm

The classic Zorro with Guy Williams will be shown on Cozi TV--an obscure little station, starting Monday, January 5. I don't know what time but I hope it doesn't replace The Avengers or Marcus Welby, M.D. I watch those--love Emma Peel and Steed--and I haven't yet seen the second PR episode that he did for Marcus Welby.

Just a heads-up. :thumbup

I haven't heard of Cozi TV and looked it up to see if it's offered in my area. It is, but not by my provider. Bummer!

That is a shame. I had posted a few weeks ago in Pernell's Place that the Welby episode, "The Day after Tomorrow" was going to be on. I figure, the more stations, the greater the chance of catching a PR episode. They also show The Six Million Dollar Man so I'm on the lookout for "Hocus Pocus" and The Loveboat so looking for "The Mallory Quest" just to watch it again--and sigh.

I checked--Zorro will be on at 11:00 am weekdays and they are dropping Marcus Welby--dang it all--and The Avengers are moving to 11:00 pm.

Even though I have the DVD sets, I'd rather watch them from my DVR. I've set my DVR for the series. Yay

That's great, Betty! Sometimes the small independent channels hide in line-ups. For examples, I found Cloo, a channel that shows Law & Order: CI and other mystery based TV shows one afternoon while I was bored (I have probably 500 channels and I swear, there are some nights where there's still nothing on TV! :shrug )

Today, I happened to catch a couple episodes of Zorro. I've never seen it before, so I didn't know exactly what was going on, but I did notice Suzanne Lloyd was in it. Suzanne played Jennifer in "The Bride" on Bonanza; on Zorro she played "Raquel Toledano", the wife of the new commandante. According to IMDB.COM, she played her on 7 episodes. She looked gorgeous, of course!

Another Bonanza alum: Myrna Fahey played "Maria Crespo" in 4 episodes. On Bonanza, she played "Dolly Kincaid in "Breed of Violence".

She looked much prettier in Zorro - more fresh-faced and pretty. Maybe this is a credit to her ability as an actress. Her IMDB page (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0265196/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t25 ) has a lot of entries for someone who had such a short career. Unfortunately she died at age 40.
