Cartwright Horse Bios are Coming to Boomers!!
Buck, Cochise, Chubb, and Sport sure are beautiful animals.
Fast...and smart!
They run like the wind and each has an interesting horse-life history on and off the show that they were so much a part of. The Cartwrights had special relationships with their horses that makes their story even more fun to read.
There's been lots of information posted on Boomers in the past about the lives of these four Cartwright Friends. We'd like to gather it all together and find some more to add to it, so that we can put together four great bios on Buck, Cochise, Chubb, and Sport.
nyspats, Calamity, Joe'sGal, and me, Gillie, will be our scribes and do the writing.
We are asking for your help in gathering any and all information that you can find.
It can be information posted here on Boomers or elsewhere, or publicity shots that are not yet posted in our gallery. Facts on the individual horses, dates they were acquired, places they lived, anecdotes from events that happened on or off the show, information on the particular breed, Bonanza horse memorabilia and collectibles, and publicity photos (color or b/w) would all be great.
I will be starting separate bio threads for each horse in a couple of days.
Any information you find on a particular horse should be posted in that horse's thread so that the information is all together in one place. Each horse thread will remain open until we have enough info to write the bio.
Jan's 100% on board with this project and wants everybody to have fun, but also to remember two things:
1) If you are posting pictures, no hotlinking. First upload them to the Boomer gallery, Photobucket, or another picture-hosting site.
2) Do not copy any information on horse bios that you find on another Bonanza site. Any horse bio information that's posted on another Bonanza site should be left on that Bonanza site. Do not bring it into Boomers.
