Re: Episode 24 - THE STRANGER

I saw this yesterday, good ep. I thought Ben was very forgiving at the end, seemed to just shrug off what the guy had put him through and the fact that he came close to taking his life. Good dialogue between the two, I thought. Did I hear Adam calling Ben 'father' when they were asking him to expla...

Not so crazy about the episode, but I do love Ben in his corduroy coat.

Re: Episode 228 - SHINING IN SPAIN

There really wasn't much depth to her character, it was really cringe worthy when she was making the toast at Hoss's birthday and kept making a toast to her father who wasn't there. Very cringe worthy. I only watched up to that scene and may finish watching later. It's one I haven't seen and was cu...

Re: Episode 13 - VENDETTA

@TNTrue T, have you any history on the guns the actors used? I am most fascinated about the subject, they seemed to take to them quite naturally, Mike even twirling his pistol before holstering it. Maybe you can comment in the History section. Guns are pretty much outside any expertise I might have...

Re: Episode 9 - MR. HENRY COMSTOCK

TNTrue I just watched the episode and have to agree with you on so many things. The material for the dress and the chiefy comment. Come on! Was Joe really that stupid or that love starved that he was willing to take a chance on the chief's daughter? Ben being pious and righteous doesn't sit well wi...

Poole was a monster rapist/murderer. It is a disturbing episode, but okay to watch the Cartwrights deal with it.

Re: Episode 3 - THE NEWCOMERS

We agree on the strengths of the episode, for sure! And I like your point that Hoss has the first serious romantic relationship of the series, and I think it makes sense that this is so. For all Joe's a flirt, and despite Adam being the eldest, Hoss has always seemed to me to be the one who most wa...

Joe seemed so danged sure of himself as her lover. But wasn't he only about 17 years of age at this point?

Re: Episode 1 - A ROSE FOR LOTTA

As a film fan of old pictures, I remember de Carlo in the Salome films that Universal turned out in the 40's and she was very popular. I was kind of surprised that she looked so young here and later went on to play Lily Munster. It wouldn't surprise me if Ms. de Carlo took advantage of Pernell in th...
