Re: A Stranger In Town

Sounds like an interesting life you are leading. Sailing tall ships and raising cattle? I guess you just had to watch Bonanza.

Re: Episode 136 - A PASSION FOR JUSTICE

Truly random thought but during the episode Dickens keeps saying he is not sure what to do with the character Nell. Anyone ever wonder if that had a hidden meaning? What did the writers want to do with (Per)nell? That would have been the time they were talking exit strategy for him. I don't think s...

Re: Episode 237 - HORSE OF A DIFFERENT HUE

Yes, $5000 should outvalue the boys' pocket money by a negligible amount. :laughing This scene was great as was Joe's expression behind the beer glass when he heard Geller's stake. Ooops. :lol I also enjoyed the suspense of the last scenes (Goodness, Ben, do something!) but I couldn't help noticing ...

Re: TV Medical Men POD ~ 7/10

Another series I have never watched or even heard of. On this side of the Atlantic we obviously only got to see a tiny part of all the different western shows that ran on American TV.

This was an interesting topic for a POD. Thank you!

Re: TV Medical Men POD ~ 7/10

Oh, I must have understood this. I thought the different "Rifleman" actors did not only play the town doctor but exactly the same character known by the same name. Well, as confusing as it is, some doctor characters did have the same name when played by different actors. There were multiple Doctor ...

Re: TV Medical Men POD ~ 7/10

Yesterday: I have never the seen "The Rifleman" but I'm quite surprised that the audience accepted so many different actors for one character over the years. Strange that nobody wanted to stay longer. Today: It's always interesting to see what kind of stories writers come up with when they have to e...

Re: TV Medical Men POD ~ 7/10

Yes, you are right, Tracy, the doctor was an integral part of the array of western characters, just like the sheriff, the bartender, the gunslinger ... I remember this one very faintly from my childhood days, when I watched "Gunsmoke" every week. And I do like the painting of him.

Re: Episode 147 - THE PRIME OF LIFE

Of course the "boys" were old enough to take over business, they were more than ready to make their own decisions. But Ben left the ship all of a sudden in a state of crisis when they did need his help and experience. Although I have to say that I was indeed disappointed that the three let themselve...
