Re: Episode 302 - A SEVERE CASE OF MATRIMONY

Saw this today for the second time. The first time I saw it I thought it was absolutely awful, but today I did enjoy some of it actually. The C's certainly did show their prejudice against gypsies right from the offset, didn't they! :ohmy Not sure why Paco loved her so very much, seeing as she was ...

Re: Episode 212 - THE STRANGE ONE

Both The Strange One and The Devil On Her Shoulder were shown once, then removed by Pat Robinson to be called a 'lost episode'. Pat was a self proclaimed preacher and a woman who could see into the future was not good family entertainment, according to Pat. Many episodes or parts of episodes were re...

Re: Episode 301 - PRIDE OF A MAN

Saw this again today. When Joe was reassuring the scared girl at the beginning, I was surprised to hear him say about "all the times I've taken you on a ride"?! Huh? :shrug I had to google to find out what a 'cord of wood' was that the boys would have to chop! :laughing Not sure why he st...

Re: Episode 203 - THE DEBT

I just have watched this ep and from the first scene when Wiley appeared I was hypnotized by his voice. I googled his real name (Tommy Sands) and WOW- he was a singer I didn't knew. Love his songs, especially "The Worryin' Kind". Yes, there were several singers from the 50's and 60's who ...

Re: Episode 344 - DEAD WRONG

Fun fact: The character of Bobby Dan played by Eric Christmas was named named for Dan himself: Bobby Dan Davis Blocker. His marker at his final resting place says B. Dan. D. Blocker; it shows what he was known as, and his birth name. I read about that many years ago. Leave it to Michael to do that!...

Re: Episode 344 - DEAD WRONG

If you look at the people sitting in rocking chairs, watching when Hoss is supposed to have a gunfight, two of the people are Michael's mother-in-law and father-in-law. The third person was an actor hired. Michael purposely zoomed in on them to make sure they're on camera. Michael said he often wrot...

Re: Episode 342 - MEENA

Yes, quite often single father, only single mothers I can think of off the top of my head are in My Son, My Son and Laura and Peggy. :thumbup Living in the west was hard on men but even harder on women. They tended to age quickly and caught illness's or had accidents and died young, especially on T...

Re: Episode 340 - THE MEDAL

I agree that many of the later episodes were very well written and directed. There were some I yawn through but many even Pernell would have loved. Michael was writing and directing many of the best but even the other writers seemed to be writing things political or many issues going on in the later...

Re: Episode 316 - MARK OF GUILT

How did Hoss and Joe end up with a wagon and where did Cochise go? Well, they had a wagon hidden behind a cactus to carry the body back to town. Joe just tells Cochise to go home and off he goes! I do love the way Hoss does sort of take over and Joe trusts Hoss enough to ask him to be his lawyer. I ...

Re: Episode 297 - TO DIE IN DARKNESS

This is the first episode Michael wrote/directed on his own. It was well thought out and both Lorne Greene and David Canary said that this was a favorite of theirs. It's among one of my favorites also! :very happy
