Re: Episode 52 - THE FUGITIVE

James Best was a Facebook friend for a long time. He was bright and funny and very thoughtful. He wrote beautiful poems. I am never surprised to see him pop up in many black and white old TV shows on ME TV. For such a good actor, it is surprising he made it good in "The Dukes of Hazzard" playing a f...

Re: Episode 78 - THE FRENCHMAN

:rotfl I love all comedy episodes. All the actors had such good timing for comedy and this was one of them. Real entertaining, at least to me. I am glad I have it on DVD so I can watch it whenever I need a funny bone tickled. :rotfl

Re: Episode 36 - THE MILL

I think Ben's absence after Marie's death is mostly covered in FanFic. Is it really mentioned in any other episode besides "The Mill?" There was one remark missing in this episode, which follows other remarks, "But, Pa, she's an actress!" "But Adam, she is a saloon girl!" "But, Hoss, she is just no ...

Re: Episode 68 - SPRINGTIME

All three tasteless tasks were tackled with Cartwright ambition. The boys created 3 happy endings by using Cartwright charm, Cartwright sensibility and Cartwright compassion. They did their Pa proud with the way they solved each problem and made the unfortunate people happy, except of course Jededia...

Adam's YEEHAA!" So great. So rare. But, a part of Adam that has always been there and he finally broke loose! A great re-wind moment.

Re: Episode 32 - DEATH AT DAWN

By far, one of the most exciting episodes. I wrote a fanfic about this episode, dealing with Adam's inner turmoil and fears, gambling on his father's life, yet knowing maybe he was the only one who could save his life. Perhaps I should post the story for Pernell's birthday next month. I hope it gave...

Re: Episode 121 - THE HAYBURNER

Pernell Roberts was a scene stealer!! Drinking from the saucer was probably not in the script but he got a lot of miles on that!! I remember when the "mountain gal" come down from the mountains to learn how to behave like a lady for city relatives coming to visit. When she drank her coffee from a sa...

Re: I just discovered him!

Welcome to you Flatbelly (very interesting user name). When I discovered the Bonanza sites, I could not believe the thousands of people lined up to pay tribute to Pernell Roberts and acknowledge his awesome talent and gorgeous looks. I was so proud to know he was so loved...then jealous of all the l...

Re: new member

Hi Everyone. I am Rita from Watkinsville, GA. I have been a fan of Bonanza since I saw the first episode back in 1959. This should tell you I am truly a boomer. I retired in September 2011 after working for 37 years. I rent a small cottage where I live with an aging Cocker Spaniel (age 13) and six ...
