This is a really great story I enjoyed reading it

You're welcome, AdamsGirl, and I want to thank you, too, for all of your great feedback and compliments. I appreciate hearing from you very much.
This chapter was incredibly sad----many emotions for family members. The children feel hurt and angry; Joe guilty. I just know that Ben will be able to get through to Joe. Another wonderful bit, pkmoonshine! Thank you!
Much relief to the family now that Ben and the others have arrived. I have a feeling that all will be okay...I hope! On to the next chapter! Lovin' this, pkmoonshine!
Another wonderful chapter! Young Jess has so much to contend with. Ben can't arrive quick enough. I'm on to the next bit!
Another excellent chapter, pkmoonshine! Ben hit it right on the head when he tells Joe, "...your drinking problem becomes OUR problem, too." It affects the entire family. I'm off to read the next chapter!
Terrific first chapter, pkmoonshine! I'm hooked! On to the next installment...
Poor Joe, carrying the guilt around all this time, trying to dull the pain with alcohol. Now back on the Ponderosa, he'll have all the support he could need and then some. Great story PK, I hope we'll see more of Jess, Benjy, Toby and Marie.
Author's Response:
Thank you, Terina. I appreciate all of your feedback and compliments very much. I'm working on a sequel to Family Ties that focuses on the relationship between Joe and his son, Benjy.
Poor Jess, he's too young for all that been thrust upon him. Joe's dreams of Amanda are so real, they give me goosebumps. Great chapters, very stirring.
So glad to see Mrs. Loomis' plan was foiled, but I don't think we've heard the last of her. It's good to see Joe with his children, but he still has a long road to recovery.
Pa's there and all is going to be all right. Ben your grandchildren need you.
Heehee, love that you married Hoss off to Bessie Sue, they are perfect for one another. Good to see Candy and Jamie in there too. Hurry guys, Mrs. Loomis is circling overhead waiting to snatch little Marie.
Jess needs the guidance of his Uncle Adam. Mrs. Loomis reminds me of the schoolteacher in the Wizard of Oz. I like the way you keep true to the characters and how you introduce the new ones.
Zach was a good friend to Joe, as was the rest of his family. Now what will happen to the kids. Great beginning pk.
I sincerely hope this story continues. I want to know that those children get to experience their father the way he will be when he's healed! Fantastic story!
Author's Response:

Uncle Hoss - you could have an entire library of stories about that! The way he handles Joe's children is perfection!
Joe has to know his family is there for him!
"Are you REALLY our grandpa" - - Geez! Watery eyes again! And Joe letting Jess know he's proud of him - just like Ben would have! Great chapter!
"Are you REALLY our grandpa" - - Geez! Watery eyes again! And Joe letting Jess know he's proud of him - just like Ben would have! Great chapter!
SJS, JPM, JSM...You name it, its in here! When Jess runs into Ben's arms I nearly cried - all three times I've read this chapter!
I can't imagine the emotions running thru Ben as he read the letter. Another great chapter!
Those poor children! The entire family has been touched by Joe's lasting grief. Great chapter. Very moving and well written! Thank you!
