MONDAY
BILL CLARK
Set the record for appearing as a guest - mostly uncredited - in the complete run of the series

:cheer thanks to BETTYHT

Born Earl William Clark 11 February 1919 , Alabama

He was one the team along with Betty and Bob that did stunts and appeared in numerous episodes of Bonanza from the Deputy in The Sisters in the first season to Smokey in The Silent Killer in the 1972 season. He seems to have more credits - other than the gorgeous Cartwrights - than anyone else.

He was the law, he was a thug and he attended dances at the Ponderosa, a soldier, a Paiute, bartender but a townsperon

He was hired to stunt double and stand-in for Dan Blocker and Lorne Greene. He was 6' 2" in height and had wavy, brown hair with a large build. Of course, he bore a physical resemblance to Dan and Lorne and did his job very well. Bill was great at doing horseback doubling, falls and fights in front of the cameras. He was there from the first day in 1959 and was a regular for 14 years on the series. He also served as an extra on the set and could be seen in the background in hundreds of episodes. Before that he had worked with PR on The Sheepman

Sadly died following injuries suffered when his light plane crashed in 7 June 1973
